Our Story

If you're reading this, it's likely no surprise to you that our story originated from our rescue dog. Meet Bella (on your right, sporting the first GD hoodie we ever made), who has been coined the “Grateful Dog” amongst everyone who has met her and inspired the celebration of all the Grateful Dogs like her. 

We may not know what Bella went through before making it to the shelter, but we do know it was traumatic and lonely. She reminds us every second how much it means for her to experience love, and life without fear. If you have a rescue of your own, we know you understand!

It only felt right to start a brand centered around OUR gratitude for the Grateful Dogs in our life, and use it to help dogs who need a little more to be grateful for. The Grateful Dead found a way to do this for people, like myself, and we wanted to combine these mantras into a brand that gives back to the shelters who give these dogs a second chance.
